This past weekend was a thrilling one at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, where all three PGFC Academy senior sides claimed victories in both Top Four Cup and Pro/Rel Play Off action. On Saturday, the Under-18s and Under-20s triumphed over Perth Red Star and Perth SC, securing silverware in dramatic fashion.
The Under-18s battled to a 3-3 draw, with TadiswaShaun Mutyavaviri’s last-minute goal forcing penalties, where they ultimately won 6-5. The Under-20s had a similarly exciting match, defeating Perth SC 4-3 with standout performances from Louis Sollitt, Will Ferson, and Alfie Knight, completing a league and Top Four Cup double.
Sunday continued the success as the First Team dominated Mandurah City 5-0, overturning a 3-1 first-leg deficit to set up a Pro/Rel Play Off Final against Dianella White Eagles. Jaylan Pearman opened the scoring early, followed by stunning goals from Abdul Faisal and Joel Anasmo, with Pearman and Adam Bugarija rounding out the emphatic win.
The upcoming final promises more excitement, with the kick-off scheduled for 4 pm next Sunday. The weekend’s triumphs were a testament to the team’s resilience and skill, and they were celebrated by a dedicated crowd of PGFC Members and fans.
