World No. 1 Korda, Olympic champion Ko to play in LPGA event in S. Korea

World No. 1 Nelly Korda and reigning Olympic champion Lydia Ko will headline the upcoming BMW Ladies Championship, the only annual LPGA Tour event held in South Korea. Set to take place from October 17-20 at Seowon Hills in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, this highly anticipated tournament will feature some of the biggest names in women’s golf.

Korda, fresh off a dominant season with six victories, including her second career major win at the Chevron Championship, will make her second consecutive appearance at this event. Meanwhile, Ko, who claimed gold at the Paris Olympics and her third major title at the AIG Women’s Open, has been in top form heading into the tournament.

Alongside Korda and Ko, the competition will also feature top talents from South Korea, including Amy Yang, who secured her first major title at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and Ryu Hae-ran, the recent winner of the FM Championship.

Japan’s Yuka Saso and Ayaka Furue, both major champions this season, will also compete, adding further excitement to the tournament. Australian star Minjee Lee, who won last year’s BMW Ladies Championship, will return to defend her title at Seowon Hills, promising an action-packed event.
