Tiger Woods-designed course and 600 new homes community announced by golf legend in business venture

Tiger Woods has announced an exciting new venture in Aledo, Texas, where he will design an 18-hole golf course as part of a 914-acre community development. The project, in collaboration with former PGA Tour professional J.J. Henry and local developers Andy and Kristen Mitchell, will also feature 600 new homes.

This marks Woods’ second golf course in Texas, following the success of Bluejack National, which opened in Montgomery in 2016. The new course, located at Bluejack Ranch, is expected to become the centerpiece of the development and is scheduled to open in 2026. Woods’ TGR Design partner, Beau Welling, will also be involved in crafting the course, which will include various amenities like a spa, wellness area, and practice facilities.

In an open letter to the Aledo community, Woods expressed his excitement for the project, stating that the success of Bluejack National has inspired this new venture. He highlighted his passion for creating family-friendly spaces where people can enjoy the game of golf and relax in a beautiful environment. .
The development is also set to include a lighted 10-hole par-three course and access to pools and a racquet club. With construction already underway and the Ranch Club set to open in early 2025, locals are eager to see how this new course will contribute to the golfing legacy of Fort Worth.
