PGA Tour star Jordan Spieth has fallen out of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) for the first time since March 2021, marking a significant low in his career.
Once ranked the world’s best player for 26 weeks in 2015 and 2016, Spieth’s form has suffered in recent years, exacerbated by injuries and his involvement in the PGA Tour’s policy board.
A persistent wrist injury led to season-ending surgery, hindering his performance throughout the 2023-2024 season. Despite his challenges, Spieth plans to return in January 2025, potentially with a December appearance at the Hero World Challenge.
