Justin Thomas narrowly missed claiming victory at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP, finishing just one stroke behind winner Nico Echavarria. Thomas delivered a strong performance at ACCORDIA GOLF Narashino Country Club with a 19-under total, tying for second place alongside Max Greyserman.

Despite a near-flawless game, including impressive stats like No. 1 in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green and No. 3 in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green, a few crucial putts refused to fall on Sunday’s back nine.

Thomas missed mid-range birdie opportunities on holes 12, 13, and a close 19-footer on No. 17, which prevented him from overtaking Echavarria, who carded a final-round 67 to secure his second PGA TOUR title.

Though visibly disappointed, Thomas reflected on the positives, sharing that his recent efforts are taking his game in the right direction. Known for his competitive spirit and resilience, Thomas is looking forward to becoming a father for the first time in the coming weeks, a moment that may offer a welcome reprieve from the game.
