Despite Injury, Jordan Spieth Teams Up with Tiger Woods in $150M Golf Project to Inspire the Next Generation

Jordan Spieth, despite recovering from a wrist injury that required surgery, is not stepping away from the golf world. After dealing with the injury since May 2023, Spieth finally opted for surgery following a worsening condition at the RBC Heritage in April.

With a focus on rehabilitation, Spieth is temporarily stepping away from competitive play, but this hasn’t diminished his involvement in the sport. In fact, he has joined forces with Tiger Woods in an ambitious $150 million project to restore and expand the Cobbs Creek Golf Campus in Philadelphia. This partnership signals Spieth’s commitment to shaping the future of golf for the next generation, even while sidelined from the game.

As part of the Cobbs Creek Project, Spieth has pledged $250,000 through the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation to fund a junior putting green. The initiative, alongside Tiger Woods’ TGR Foundation, is set to provide young golfers with state-of-the-art facilities and mentorship opportunities. The green will be built at the TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, where youth can access career-focused STEM experiences and golf training. This collaboration aims to inspire and nurture young talent, making golf more accessible to future stars. Both Spieth and Woods are united in their vision of using golf as a vehicle for learning life skills and fostering youth development.
