Emma Raducanu is demonstrating her commitment to improvement by reassessing her tournament schedule following her early exit from the US Open. The British tennis star expressed regret over not participating in more events leading up to the major, specifically missing qualifying rounds in Canada and Cincinnati.

These decisions were made in hopes of focusing on practice, but ultimately contributed to her first-round loss at Flushing Meadows. Reflecting on her experience, Raducanu acknowledged the need for a more strategic approach to her match preparation, stating, “I would have preferred to probably play a little bit more before coming into the US Open. I think I can learn from it.”

In a bid to regain momentum, Raducanu has committed to a busy schedule, including participation in the qualifying rounds for the Wuhan Open, the last WTA 1000 event of the season. Currently ranked No. 70, she faces a competitive field that includes former Grand Slam champions like Naomi Osaka and Sloane Stephens, all vying for a spot in the main draw.

With plans to compete in additional tournaments, such as the WTA 1000 in Beijing and the Hong Kong Open, Raducanu is focused on maximizing her match play before the year ends. She has expressed her intent to play as many matches as possible, reflecting a determination to build her competitive edge and improve her rankings as she looks ahead to 2025.
