Jordan Spieth: Wrist improving, should be OK for PGA season

Jordan Spieth is making positive strides in his recovery from wrist surgery and remains optimistic about his return for the 2025 PGA Tour season. In a recent interview with Golfweek, Spieth expressed confidence in his progress, stating his goal is to be tournament-ready by January 1, 2025.

He emphasized his intent to not only return to competition but to perform at his highest level. Spieth, now 31, sustained the wrist injury in 2023, and the issue had increasingly affected his daily life, prompting him to undergo surgery. He revealed that the frequent dislocations of his wrist, even during routine activities at home, made the operation unavoidable.

Despite the setback, Spieth has maintained a strong presence in the golfing community. He made his first public appearance post-surgery at a fundraiser in Dallas, wearing a cast on his left wrist. Although he has not claimed a PGA Tour title since his RBC Heritage victory in April 2022, Spieth’s career boasts three major championships and 13 overall wins. As he continues his recovery, Spieth looks forward to potentially making his competitive comeback at the Sony Open in Hawaii in early January 2025.
