LIV starboy Brooks Koepka submits application for every sport except golf ahead of the NFL season
Brooks Koepka, the star golfer from LIV Golf, recently showed off his athletic versatility by participating in a multi-sport challenge at a Barstool Sports gym. As part of the challenge, Koepka took on a variety of sports, including football, baseball, soccer, and basketball.
The footage of his performance, shared by Barstool Sports on their X (formerly Twitter) account, revealed his ability to adapt to different sports, despite his primary career being in professional golf. Koepkaâs participation was in connection with his appearance on Barstool Sportsâ podcast, The Yak, where he tested his knowledge and athletic skills.
In the baseball segment of the challenge, it took Koepka five swings to hit the ball into the fair zone. His performance in football saw him needing six throws to hit the target, while his basketball efforts required six attempts to make his first three-pointer, eventually making two successful shots. This light-hearted yet competitive test of his athleticism was part of a broader segment known as “The Yak Gauntlet.” Koepkaâs LIV Golf teammate, Talor Gooch, also participated in the fun and engaging sports challenge.
As for his golf career, Koepka is preparing for the LIV Golf Individual Championship, scheduled from September 13-15 at Bolingbrook Golf Course in Chicago. Currently ranked seventh on the individual leaderboard with 126.73 points, Koepka aims to repeat or surpass his third-place finish from last season. While the top spots are out of reach with players like Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann leading, Koepka remains in contention for a strong finish alongside other top golfers such as Tyrrell Hatton and Sergio Garcia. His success this season includes two individual victories at Singapore and Greenbrier, along with several top-10 finishes.
Koepka’s team, Smash GC, is also performing well in the LIV Golf team standings, currently sitting in fourth place. The team secured two wins in Las Vegas and Greenbrier and a runner-up finish during the 12 regular-season events. As the LIV Golf Team Championship approaches in Dallas, Texas, Smash GC’s position in the standings could give them a strategic advantage in the first round. With Koepkaâs strong individual performance and the team’s consistent achievements, the remainder of the season promises to be an exciting conclusion for both the golfer and his team.
