Recap of All the Winners from the 2024 PGA Tour Season
The 2024 PGA Tour season has come to a thrilling conclusion with the Tour Championship wrapping up last week. This year saw standout performances, particularly from US golfers Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele, who both delivered career-defining seasons.
Scottie Scheffler’s Dominant Year
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was unquestionably the star of the 2024 season, amassing an incredible six victories in signature PGA Tour events. Among his wins were prestigious titles like The Players Championship, the Masters, and the Tour Championship. He capped his season by securing the FedEx Cup, earning more than $50 million in prize money, making him the top earner on the Tour.
Scheffler’s remarkable form also included five consecutive tournament victories, underscoring his dominance. To top it off, he clinched a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, although this achievement is outside of the PGA Tour calendar. His performance at East Lake Golf Club, where he entered as the FedEx Cup points leader, was nothing short of spectacular, cementing his place among the sport’s elite at just 28 years old.
Xander Schauffele’s Breakthrough Major Wins
Xander Schauffele also had an extraordinary season, albeit somewhat overshadowed by Scheffler’s brilliance. The 30-year-old finally secured his first-ever major title at the PGA Championship and followed it up with a win at The Open Championship. Schauffele finished second in the FedEx Cup standings, consistently demonstrating his world-class ability throughout the season.
Bryson DeChambeau and Other Key Performances
Not to be forgotten, Bryson DeChambeau of LIV Golf claimed the US Open title, the only major in 2024 that Scheffler or Schauffele didn’t win. Meanwhile, several other golfers had breakout seasons, including Nick Dunlap, Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley, and Hideki Matsuyama, who all contributed to an exciting year on the PGA Tour.

While the main season has concluded, the FedEx Cup Fall events are set to begin soon. The first event, the Fortinet Championship, will take place on September 15 at the Silverado Resort in California. The fall season will wrap up with the RSM Classic in November.
Looking ahead, all eyes are on the upcoming Presidents Cup, scheduled for September 24-29 at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec, Canada. Jim Furyk will captain Team USA, while Mike Weir will lead the International team.
