Schauffele, who previously named Dustin Johnson as his dream pairs partner, appears more open to the inclusion of LIV golfers. In contrast, Scheffler has expressed reservations about welcoming back players who left the PGA Tour, particularly those who pursued legal action against the tour.

Scheffler, in earlier comments, suggested that while there should be a pathway for LIV players to return, it should not come without consequences. He acknowledged that some players simply wanted to try something different but felt that those who sued the PGA Tour acted in poor taste.
